Amy Banks, Westbank Kidzone Childcare Practitioner

About my role at Westbank

The majority of my work is within the holiday club, where I organise activities and play with the children, as well as doing tasks such as preparing food and tidying up.

Experience

I am currently completing a psychology degree. As part of that I did a placement year in a Neurodevelopment Assessment Unit, working with children aged 4-7. I also have experience working with disabled adults as a respite carer. I have worked at Kidzone since June 2022.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 Safeguarding Children
  • Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene
  • Currently completing Undergraduate Psychology degree

My Values

I love this job because it allows me to get stuck in with whatever the children are doing. I get the privilege of forming great relationships with them as I really get to know who each child is as a person.

My Personal Interests

Outside of my role at Westbank, I like to watch movies, listen to music, see friends and walk my dog!

The best thing about my role is getting to know all of the children’s personalities and seeing them grow in confidence, they make this job so special!
