  • Day Care Service

Day Care Service

Westbank has successfully offered a range of day care services for adults in a welcoming and friendly setting for over 25 years.

We enable people to come together in a safe environment with support aimed at helping them continue to live independently, improve their quality of life, meet and socialise with others, and provide respite for family members and carers.

Our day care provides participants with a day of planned activities, a two-course freshly cooked lunch and refreshments throughout the day in a lively and friendly environment.

We offer:

  • Gentle physical exercise
  • Music activity and entertainment
  • Word association
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Seasonal and themed activities such as, Christmas and Easter crafts, and Wimbledon cream tea.
  • Celebration of national events
  • And much more

On a typical day...

  • On arrival, participants are greeted with a warm welcome; the day then starts with refreshments and catching up on everyone’s news, sharing views and experiences, along with discussions of ongoing current media and world affairs.
  • The team then offer a pre-planned activity such as a bean bag game, followed by a quiz.
  • We will then enjoy a homemade two-course lunch and further drinks.
  • In the afternoon, we play games such as Scrabble or sometimes have craft sessions.

We accommodate private clients and have Devon County Council social care-funded places available.

Opening times:

Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 10.30am to 2.30pm

Fees:

  • Full day including two-course lunch 10.30am to 2.30pm:  £47.50
