Create your own fundraising page

Thank you for thinking of and supporting Westbank Community Health and Care. This is where you can set up your own fundraising page which you can share with friends, family and colleagues. You can track how much money you have raised for Westbank and keep your supporters updated on your progress. Please read these helpful notes before setting up your page below. 

Tips for creating your page

You'll be asked to select where you want the money you raise to go from the drop-down list below, eg Give a Gift in Celebration or In Memory.  If you don't know please select Fundraise for Westbank (this is our general fundraising appeal).

Choosing a title for your page

Keep the title short and personal to you, eg Bill's Bake Sale. This will automatically generate a web address (URL) when you click in the next box. 

Summary text 

The summary text should be just a few words saying what you are doing and why. It will be seen by visitors to our website but won't be visible to people you share your page with directly.

Whole story section

This is what your supporters will see when they open your page, It is useful to:

• Include all the details you want them to know about your challenge, event or project
• Say why you are fundraising for Westbank, or if you are fundraising for a particular service, eg Devon Young Carers or Health Walks
• Encourage your friends and family to support you with a donation
• End with a thank you!

Adding photographs

Remember to add a picture to make your page stand out!  The first photo you will be asked for is a square profile picture. It is important to add this when you first set up the page. (You will be able to edit the page later to add a wide banner image to the top of the page.)

What happens next

After you have submitted your page there may be a short delay before it goes live. We aim to moderate pages as quickly as possible and you'll receive an email notification when your page is available to share.

If you are not already registered on our website you will receive an email asking you to register. Please follow the link to complete your registration and create a profile, including adding the square-shaped photograph that will be the profile picture on your fundraising page. This will make it much easier to edit your page. Please include a phone number in your details so we can contact you with any queries. 

You are now ready to set up your page!

Start by selecting the campaign you are taking part in, eg Walk for Westbank or Donate in Memory. If you are unsure, select Fundraise for Westbank.
