Our Food Foundation course aims to teach participants to:

  • Learn and improve knife and kitchen skills
  • Gain knowledge of flavours and ingredients
  • Grow in experience and confidence to create meals from scratch, making the most of what is available.

Courses will also provide bite-size nutritional information to help you gain a better understanding of the foods you eat and to help you make better choices within a tight budget. 

Enjoy making a variety of homemade meals including soups, curry, pizzas, cottage pie, healthy breakfasts, filling desserts, basic sauces and more.

The level 1 Food Foundation course is aimed at the following:

  • People experiencing loneliness and isolation
  • People with caring responsibilities 
  • Families with young children
  • Young people aged 14 - 18 years old
  • People finding the cost of living challenging
