About my role at Westbank

I joined Westbank in September 2023 as Support and Projects Manager, initially responsible for Data Management.  in November 2024, I assumed responsibility for managing one of Westbank’s largest projects; Health Walks, which is supported by our very valued army of 70+ volunteers.  Since March 2025, I have also been responsible for managing Reception, and our Neighbourhood Friends and Patient Transport services.

My standout career moments

I have spent most of my working career within hospitality and have forged some great friendships over the years, I’ve also always found the time to volunteer and over the years have spent 5 years with Hospice, 10 years with the TRF, 8 years as a Special Constable with Devon and Cornwall Police and 3 years as a listening volunteer with the Samaritans, all of which have given me a very good insight.

 My values

I would say I live by; Dependability, Integrity and Generosity.  I will always endeavour to do the right thing and whilst I can’t be financially generous, I can be generous with my time whatever the situation, whether it’s listening or helping in some other way.

Personal interests

I am a bit of a workaholic, but do have a 6yr old cockapoo – Aroha – who makes me get out and about to places I wouldn’t normally go; we might risk an overnighter in my trusty van to catch a sunset or sunrise with a walk along with beach or moors, this is in addition to running my own business which celebrated its 5th birthday in early 2025.
