Westbank Community Health and Care is a very special, very successful charity that’s continuing to grow and extend its services across the whole of Devon. We rely on our staff and volunteers to help us deliver a wide range of community-based health and wellbeing services across the county. Our Board of Trustees, also volunteers, bring their diverse range of skills to our award-winning charity - with the aim of helping people of all ages to live fulfilled, healthier, happier lives for longer and maintain their independence for as long as possible.

Westbank is in a dynamic stage of expansion, and we currently have wonderful opportunities for new Trustees to join us, specifically those with Finance, Business, people management and / or legal expertise. If you’re the kind of person who likes to make a difference, and you have these skills or others that could support the governance and growth of Westbank, why not consider joining our Board?

As a Board member, you would help shape the direction of our charity and provide a valuable layer of operational and financial governance. You would become part of a dynamic (and fun!) team of Trustees who make a real difference to our community. And we aren't too demanding of your time. You would be asked to attend a 2-hour Board Meeting quarterly in Exminster, near Exeter, and ideally commit to a few extra hours in between. Unless, of course, you want to do more!

Does this sound like something you would be interested in? If so, we would love to hear from you. We welcome applications from individuals regardless of their specific skills, but our Board would particularly benefit from expertise in the areas of Finance, Commercial law and fundraising or income generation.

As the CEO of this amazing charity, I can promise you a very warm welcome and the opportunity to put your skillset to fantastic use helping others, including some of the most vulnerable in our community. Next year will mark the charity’s 40th anniversary and, as a Trustee, you will be helping steer Westbank towards the next exciting chapter. Does that sound like a role for you? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
